I've decided to collect acorns. Only the ones that land on our deck, and only the ones with their hats still on. I put them in a 
little dish (I'll probably need a bigger dish) right by the back door. I have no idea what 
I'm going to do with them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not sure if I've shown you our back door. It is in a space that separates the kitchen from the dining room/living room. It's kind of an odd space but we've done the best we can to dress it up. Directly across from the door and in front of the stairs leading to the basement sits the Hoosier. This area is really our entry way, as we rarely use the front door.
