I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be talking about this online yet or not, so let's just keep it between us. OK? Thanks to some extra special Christmas gift money, Grace and I were able to join the Socks That Rock yarn club for 2012 sponsored by Blue Moon Fiber Arts. We are both just so excited we can't stand it. Our first shipment of yarn and goodies arrived the day before Grace left for Spain. Perfect timing. The kit came with the most beautiful purple sock yarn ever, and patterns for two different projects, socks and fingerless mitts. Both of the patterns are pretty unique and include buttons. I can't wait to get started. I'm not sure which project I'm going to make. yesterday I was sure it would be the socks and today I'm thinking mitts. The next kit will arrive in 2 months, so I have a little bit of time to think about it. In the meantime I'm close to finishing my Classy Slip Up socks and I've been practicing my spinning. Today I need to do some research to figure out how to keep from over spinning my yarn. Any suggestions? I think it might have to do with me not drafting fast enough, or maybe I need to try and slow down.
